Terms of Service

These terms cover the HY Impacts platform at app.hyimpacts.com, provided by HY Impacts, Rockville, Maryland 20850, USA ("we"), to the business that subscribes ("you") and the people you invite. Last updated September 7, 2026.

1. The service

HY Impacts is a business-operations platform: schedules, contacts, chat, files, hiring, books and an AI assistant ("Imp"). We deliver it as a service: we build and run it, and we work with you on what it should do. Features change over time; we tell you what changed in the app's Product Updates.

2. Your account and your people

You are responsible for the people you invite, the modules you grant them and what they do in the platform. Your company admin manages your team; only HY's platform admin can create administrators. Keep passwords private; tell us at once if an account is misused.

3. Your data stays yours

The records your team enters belong to you. Each company's people see only their own company's data. We use your data to run the service for you — never to sell, never for advertising.

4. Files — two choices

Your files live either (a) in your own Google Drive, which you connect from Settings and can disconnect at any time — we hold a token that lets the platform write to a folder it created there, and nothing else; or (b) in HY's Drive, in a folder for your company, which we will share to an address you name whenever you ask, so you always have a copy. We never move files through our servers.

5. The AI assistant

Imp sends the specific text you ask it to work on to a model provider under HY's account, to produce the answer. Providers are not permitted to use it for advertising or training. Your use is metered per company; a monthly allowance is part of your plan and we tell you when it is near.

6. Subscription and payment

Your subscription is monthly and invoiced by hand; the price is the one on your invoice. Access continues while the invoice is paid. If a payment lapses, the platform's modules switch off for your company until it is settled — your data is kept and nothing is deleted by a lapse.

7. Leaving

You may stop at any time. On offboarding, your company is deactivated, your people's access ends, your Drive connection (if any) is revoked, and the files in your own Drive stay yours. Files in HY's Drive are shared to you on request and kept for 90 days, then removed. Your records are kept for the same 90 days, then deleted.

8. Availability

We run the platform with care and fix what breaks quickly, but we do not promise uninterrupted service and offer no service-level agreement. We back the database up daily.

9. Acceptable use

No unlawful content, no attempts to reach another company's data, no reselling access.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect loss.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes are announced in the app thirty days before they apply.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, and any dispute is brought in the courts of Maryland.
